What happens if he....?

Well, you see, I like this kid who I haven't seen for a year and a half. And recently we met up and got each others numbers and we started texting. He tells me that he still likes me (Because before we never saw eachother, we used to snuggle and cuddle) and I liked him so yesterday we were hanging out and he had to go to work early for a meeting that he never told me about. Later on that evening when he was working he told me about how he had a girlfriend when we never saw eachother. They never agurred, got a puppy, and were talking about marriage. He decides on their 2 year annyversiary he was going to propuse to her, until he caught her with another guy. Now, he wont stop thinking about her and he saids that he likes me, and his ex also. And he wants to take things slow. and all of a sudden he says that we might not go out. Help?
